Emerging U.S. state legislation requires disclosure of chemical substances in cleaning and automotive products and floor polishes via new label and website information elements. Aimed to increase visibility and transparency of substances in consumer and professional products, the requirements pose a new data management challenge to manufacturers of designated products. In this session, we highlights 3M's strategy (launching mid-2019) to meeting this new regulatory challenge head-on.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
1. Explain basic requirements and primary differences between California and New York legislation
2. Evaluate data resources against data needs
3. Identify strategies to pursue their own compliance efforts
