Description

There has been a lot of talk about how the Pre-Manufacture Notice (PMN) process has changed since the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act updated the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), but PMNs were not the only part of TSCA affected.

Since Lautenberg, there have been many changes to other TSCA compliance requirements, including changes to the Low Volume Exemption (LVE) process. We will highlight, using real examples, the changes to LVEs in recent times and how to better prepare submitters for the revised process.

Learning Objectives

Participants will
1. Summarize the effect of Lautenberg on the LVE application, review and approval processes, and the effect on submitters
2. Explain how LVE submissions are more complicated and require more preparation than previously
3. Analyzing specific EPA review mandates that apply to LVEs
4. Prepare submitters for the possible outcomes of LVE review
