Sue is the lead author of Heinemann’s Math in Practice series (2016), Heinemann's Math by the Book series (2021), and numerous other professional books that support the teaching of K-5 mathematics. Sue is also the developer of hand2mind’s Navigating Numeracy Learning Progression Centers (2024) focused on meaningful practice for students in grades K-5. She is particularly focused on instructional practices that support the development of mathematical thinking. Sue is a nationally known speaker and education consultant who directs Quality Teacher Development LLC, an organization committed to providing outstanding math professional learning for teachers in schools and districts across the country.
