Make a difference for aspiring readers, writers, and artists by connecting them with authors and illustrators who have produced award-winning books that inspire and delight. Four authors/illustrators will share their creative processes and give teachers suggestions for using children's literature to motivate young readers, writers and artists.
Participants will also learn about the Teachers' Choices Project, an IRA committee which is charged with creating an annual list of high quality children's books that are sure to enrich the curriculum and engage readers in grades K-8. Hear about this exciting project, the 2013 winners, and how teachers and media specialists can get involved.
