This session will review the results of a national study that explored health risks among frontline direct caregivers. Practical interventions and guidelines developed for health care providers and others involved in the support of frontline caregivers will be explored. The session will conclude with implications for public policy and advocacy agenda items for frontline direct caregivers.
Objectives:
1. Understand relationships between health risks, social networks, job satisfaction and stress among frontline direct caregivers (family caregivers, nursing assistants, home care assistants) from a national study involving 519 caregivers.
2. Understand public policy implications for frontline caregivers
